Robert Bosch Stiftung Reception
In February 2025, on the eve of the RightsCon 2025 Conference, Asia Concentrate was honored to assist the Robert Bosch Stiftung in hosting an international networking dinner that brought together digital rights experts and scholars from around the globe. Through the integration of culture, space, and cuisine, this event set a profound and humanistic tone for the upcoming formal conference.
The venue for the event was selected as the "Not Just Library," located within the Songshan Cultural Park and managed by the Taiwan Design Research Institute (TDRI). This unique space, converted from a historic bathhouse, combines Japanese and Taiwanese architectural heritage with a modern literary atmosphere. Featuring sunken stepped seating, preserved traditional bathhouse design elements, window-side reading areas, and book-lined walls, the venue creates a quiet yet open environment perfectly suited for the dynamic exchange of ideas before the conference.
Beyond the venue’s rich architectural history and significance, we recognize that cultural experience is the best bridge to foster understanding. Therefore, the dinner was specially themed "Taste of Taiwan," offering a menu that features local specialties such as popcorn chicken, Taiwanese fried rice noodles, and red bean pancakes, paired with Taiwanese beer. This allowed our international guests not only to "see" Taiwan but also to truly "taste" Taiwan.
In this atmosphere, we also observed that every expert was deeply engaged in discussions on various topics, making this dinner not merely a social gathering but a foundation of trust and resonance for the official conference the following day.
